South Bruce OPP are have laid an animal cruelty charge in Arran-Elderslie.
OPP say at about 10 Thursday night (Dec. 18) they were called to a report of intimate partner violence in Paisley.
OPP say their investigation revealed a dispute occurred between two people at a residence, where the accused is alleged to have thrown a puppy across the room.
A 36-year-old from Brampton is charged with cruelty to an animal and mischief.
The accused was taken into custody, and is set to appear at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
