The City of Owen Sound is going to consider approving several projects in the 2026-2030 Multi-Year Capital Plan.
The plan, which is reviewed semiannually, includes $85.1 million in funded projects and $33.7 million in unfunded capital.
There are nine new 2026 projects, six where the budget has increased from updated pricing projections, 20 where the timing has changed, and two which have been removed.
Some of the projects featured in the plan include the River District Revitalization Plan, installing lacrosse turf, rehabilitating the public washroom at the Farmers’ Market, and various road work.
When council reviews the plan they will be able to ask questions, provide input, change, and even remove projects before it is approved.
The overall funding in the plan decreased by $5.9 million as some projects were deferred by one year, pushing their start date to outside the plan’s scope.
Council will consider approving the projects in the plan during its meeting on Monday.
