Northern Bruce Peninsula is going to consider implementing a bed and breakfast licensing program in the new year.
This comes after a meeting in September when council received a report from CAO Peggy Van Mierlo-West on licensing local bed and breakfast establishments.
Council directed staff to undertake a public engagement process to hear from residents, business owners, and tourism stakeholders.
After reviewing the comments received in November, council directed staff to develop, implement and promote a bed and breakfast licensing program.
Council aims to pass the new licensing program in January.
The policy would be similar to the already existing Short-Term Accommodation (STA) licensing program.
Council will consider directing staff to bring back the by-law in the new year for adoption on Monday.
