The Town of Mono reviewed and approved the results of a tender for harvesting in three forest tracts.
Council selected the bid from McGoo’s Transport at $89.73 per cord.
Officials estimate 15 cords per acre and a total of approximately 46 acres.
This means the town should bring in around $60,000 from this contract.
The three tacts are the Anderson Tract, the Relessey Tract and the 1926 Tract
Tree harvesting is part of the Town’s forest management plan that considers best practices for maintaining healthy forests.
