Several Huron County organizations have been recognized for making accessibility a priority.
The Huron County Accessibility Advisory Committee has named the winners of this year’s Accessibility Awards, which include:
- Huronview & Huronlea Homes for the Aged
- Municipality of Huron East
- Ausable Bayfield Conservation Foundation
- Clinton Raceway
- Kinsmen Club of Goderich
- The Blyth Inn
Julie Sawchuk was the recipient of the Sandra Thompson Memorial Accessibility Champion Award, for her work in creating the Public Accessible Spaces Simplified (PASS) program, now used across all nine municipalities in Huron County.
