South Bruce OPP say a Walkerton man is facing charges following a collision.
Police say on Nov. 27 around 9:21 p.m., a concerned individual contacted police after seeing a pick-up truck strike a stop sign in Walkerton before fleeing the area.
After a description of the vehicle was provided, the investigating officer located the vehicle shortly afterwards.
Police say while speaking with the driver, the officer detected signs of alcohol consumption and the lawful demand for a breath test was refused.
The driver was placed under arrest and as a result, the 33-year-old was charged with failing or refusing to comply with a demand, failing to remain, and failing to report and accident.
The man’s vehicle was impounded for seven days and was given a 90-day licence suspension.
The accused is set to appear in court in Walkerton later this month.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact police at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
