Applications are now being accepted for local organizations who want to create outdoor play opportunities for kids.
Community Foundation Grey Bruce is inviting organizations within the region to apply for funding through Free to Play.
The initiative supports outdoor, unstructured play for children and youth.
Projects that are supported by the program may include re-imagining public spaces to encourage kids to play in natural environments, nature-based and cultural programs, and equipment libraries where families can borrow toys and other equipment at no cost.
Applications are open until February 24, 2026.
Organizations interested in applying can do so through the Community Foundation Grey Bruce website.
The Free to Play initiative is led by Community Foundations of Canada with support from the Waltons Trust, the Lawson Foundation, and participating community foundations across Canada.
Eligible applicants include registered charities, incorporated non-profits, Indigenous organizations, and other qualified groups.
