The City of Owen Sound says that work is progressing on the 9th Avenue East Reconstruction Project.
The city says that 6th Avenue East is going to be re-opened by Wednesday, December 3rd.
The bus shelters located at Lee Manor on 6th Street East and the Court House building will also be reinstated as of Wednesday.
The bus shelters have been out of service along the Crosstown route due to the construction work.
Once they’re back in service, the temporary bus stops at 8th Avenue and 6th Street East, as well as at 617 8th Avenue East will be discontinued.
The reconstruction project has been underway since July, but city staff says that travelling through that area will soon see significant improvements in both road configuration and pedestrian accommodations.
