More snow is expected to fall in Grey Bruce today.
Snow squall warnings continue in the region, with 5-10 centimetres expected for most of Grey County and the Bruce Peninsula.
A lot more snow could fall in the Saugeen Shores and Kincardine areas, and parts of southern Bruce County. Environment Canada is forecasting 30-40 centimetres there — as well as another 10-plus tonight.
“Lake effect snow bands off Lake Huron will continue to affect the area today. Conditions should improve tonight, although poor conditions may persist into Saturday morning for areas closer to Lake Huron,” Environment Canada says in its warning.
Forecasters say strong westerly winds with gusts of up to 60 kilometres an hour will cause blowing snow today, and create hazardous driving conditions and near zero visibility at times.
All school buses in Bruce and Grey counties have been cancelled today.
