Two people were taken to hospital after a collision involving a car and an e-bike just outside of Owen Sound.
Emergency services reponded to the incident just after 6 p.m. Sunday evening on Highway 6/10, between Superior Street and Story Book Park Road.
Police say the driver of the e-bike and a passenger — a 42-year-old and 39-year-old from Meaford — suffered “serious but non life-threatening injuries.” Both were transported to hospital for treatment.
Grey Bruce OPP say both the vehicle and e-bike were travelling southbound on Highway 6/10, when the e-bike was struck.
The driver of the passenger vehicle, a 50-year-old from Chatsworth, has been charged with a Highway Traffic Act offence for failing to turn out left to avoid a collision.
Highway 6/10 was closed between Superior Street and Story Book Park road for several hours Sunday evening for the collision investigation, but has since reopened.
