An opportunity to learn how to successfully qualify your business for the Canada Summer Jobs program is coming up.
The federal government program subsidizes wages for businesses hiring summer students aged 15 to 30.
The application process is scored, and knowing how to fill out the form can help employers successfully qualify.
Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound Member of Parliament Alex Ruff’s office will be hosting a virtual employer information session with Service Canada on Monday, November 24th, at 11:00am, for the Canada Summer Jobs program.
Local businesses and organizations interested in employing youth for Summer 2026 are encouraged to register for the event. Service Canada representatives will provide an overview of the application process, followed by a question-and-answer period.

Employer applications for the Canada Summer Jobs program are due December 11, 2025 at 11:59am (Pacific Standard Time)

Through the program, not-for-profit employers can receive funding for up to 100 per cent of the provincial or territorial minimum wage and public and private sector employers are eligible to receive funding for up to 50 per cent.
