Six people have been arrested following the take down of a massive copper theft ring.
Dufferin OPP executed search warrants at four locations, including two rural farm properties and a scrap yard the northwest part of Dufferin County.
Police seized stolen items including bell copper wire, tools and vehicles.
They also seized cocaine and methamphetamine, firearms, and numerous other items.
Six men, five from Melancthon and one from Dundalk, ranging in age from 33 to 50 have been handed a long list of theft and possession related charges.
Copper thefts have been on an upward trend throughout the area this year.
