Hanover police say they have arrested a man after a stabbing.
Police say on the evening of Monday, November 17th, they responded to a violent incident at a residence on 6th
Avenue in Hanover.
Police say their investigation determined a 21-year-old Hanover man was drinking alcohol in a residence with family members and friends when he became intoxicated and allegedly made repeated threats to kill those present.
Police say an argument turned physical, and he allegedly attacked a family member, stabbing a man twice before fleeing the scene on foot.
The victim was transported to hospital, treated for two stab wounds, and later released.
Police located the accused walking on 7th Avenue within a few hours of the disturbance.
He was arrested without incident.
According to police, the suspect is currently on federal parole for previous crimes of violence. His federal parole has since been revoked and he was remanded into custody at his bail hearing on the charges of assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and three counts of uttering death threats.
