An update from Grey Bruce OPP after a major drug bust in Wiarton last month.
Grey Bruce OPP say it has identified over 1,000 grams in various seized illegal narcotics, after officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Frank Street on Oct. 9.
Two people were arrested and charged in relation to the investigation.
Police say laboratory analysis confirmed officers seized 820.3 grams of fentanyl with an estimated street value of $205,075 representing about 8.203 potential doses, 332.7 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of $33,270 representing about 332 potential doses, and 173.6 grams of meth with an estimated street value of $17,360 representing 173 potential doses.

Police also seized offence-related property valuing about $1,800.
“This seizure represents one of the largest suspected fentanyl busts in Bruce and Grey Counties and marks a significant disruption to the illegal drug trade in the region,” OPP say in a release.
Police remind residents fentanyl is a highly potent opioid and accidental exposure, even in small amounts, can be life threatening and encourage people to consider carrying a nalaxone kit which can temporarily reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.
