The Town of Mono announced its Public Works 2026 Capital Budget.
According to the Director of Public Works Matt Doner, the budget has been broken down into four main categories.
Transportation will need $4,385,000 this upcoming fiscal year and $5,705,000 the following one.
Meanwhile, the opposite is true for Infrastructure and Environmental which is looking at a budget requirement of $875,000 for 2026 and only $200,000 for 2027.
Fleet will not see much of a change from $435,000 then down to $350,000.
And finally Facilities will remain unchanged for 2026 and 2027 sitting at $100,000 for both.
The total Public Works Capital Budget for 2026 is $5,795,000 then is expected to go up to $6,355,000 in 2027.
Council will continue its consideration of the budget on Tuesday, October 28th and again on Tuesday, November 12th which will be a public meeting for comments.
There will be a third meeting on November 26th with the first date for it to be passed set for December 9th.
