Grey Bruce Community Safety & Well-Being Planning are presenting a human trafficking awareness community town hall tonight.
It’s set to be held on Thursday, October 23rd, from 6:30 – 9 p.m. at the Southport Church along Highway 21 between Southampton and Port Elgin with doors opening at 6 p.m.
Alexis Cook from Grey Bruce Community Safety & Well-Being Planning says, “There you’ll be bale to hear from folks with lived experience of human trafficking, as well as our police services on the different risk factors, looking at online activity through social media as well as how to keep yourself safe, how to recognize it with other individuals, what kind of resources we have in the community that are available.”
