A new doctor is joining the Kincardine Family Health organization next year.
Dr. Albert Luu will be launching a new family practice as early as September 2026 and will also be practicing at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre’s Kincardine Hospital.
He comes to the region after growing up in Toronto and earning both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Toronto. He also completed medical school at Western University where he is finishing his residency.
“I was fortunate to complete part of my training in Kincardine and quickly fell in love with the work environment, culture and scenery,” says Dr. Luu.
Dr. Luu will be accepting new patients when the practice opens.
The Kincardine Family Health Organization currently has 11 physicians providing primary care to about 14,500 patients.
Getting up to a full staff of more than 15 physicians will allow the organization to provide ongoing support for emergency and hospital care, as well as visit retirement homes, palliative and memory programs, pregnancy and baby wellness clinics, and mental health management.
Kincardine Mayor Kenneth Craig says recruiting and retaining physicians is one of their top priorities.
“Through our Physician Recruitment Program, we’re proud to welcome Dr. Luu to Kincardine and continue to strengthening access to quality health care close to home,” says Craig.
