Bruce Power is planning to host a number of community information sessions to allow residents to learn more about its proposed Bruce C project.
“The Bruce Power site already is one of the largest producers of nuclear energy in the world, providing approximately 30 per cent of Ontario’s clean electricity, and a new nuclear build on the existing site would help meet rising electricity demand, drive the economy and provide well-paying jobs in the area for decades to come,” the company says in a news release.
Next month is your chance to learn more and ask questions about the Bruce C project. The company is hosting public information sessions in Goderich, Owen Sound and Walkerton. Each event will start with a presentation, and then there will be an opportunity for community members to speak with company representatives involved with the Bruce C project.
You can find the schedule for these information sessions below:
Tuesday, Nov. 4 – Goderich – Columbus Convention Centre – 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 6 – Owen Sound – Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre, Shore Room – 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 12 – Walkerton – Best Western Plus Walkerton – 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
