Saugeen Shores police have charged a man after an alleged attempt to steal a motorbike went wrong.
Police say at about 9:30 p.m. on October 16th, they took a report of a theft of vehicle in progress in the area of Adelaide Street in Southampton.
They say a resident heard a commotion outside their home and found an unknown man pinned under the resident’s motorcycle which had been moved from where it had been parked.
Police say, upon discovery, the accused took off on foot through neighbouring yards.
Officers say they located a man matching the description of the suspect in a shed on Huron Street.
A 40-year-old of Saugeen Shores is charged with, break and enter, disguise with intent, mischief, obstruct police, resist peace officer, trespass by night, and attempt theft of motor vehicle. He was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
