The new MRI suite at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital is open for business.
Located on the hospital’s lower level, the MRI suite occupies 2,000 square feet of newly renovated space.
Hospital officials credit the provincial government, the community and the CGMH Foundation for the funding to offer the state of the art technology to South Georgian Bay residents.
Chief of Radiology at CGMH, Dr. Murray Miller says 5500 scans can be completed annually – significantly reducing regional wait times and providing faster access to critical diagnostics close to home.
