Jake Crawford scored an empty-netter with just over a minute remaining in the third, capping a three-point afternoon as the Owen Sound Attack beat North Bay Battalion 6-4 in Ontario Hockey League action on Thanksgiving Day at Boart Longyear Memorial Gardens.
Nick Sykora scored twice for the Attack (7-2), and Noah Nelson, Tristan Delisle and Masen Wray added goals.
Owen Sound won its third straight game.
Brandt Harper, Kent Greer, Ryder Cali and Evgeny Dubrovstsev had goals for North Bay (4-5), which lost its fourth in a row on home ice.
The Attack scored three power play goals, and added a short handed marker.
Carter George made 41 saves in the win, while Mike McIvor stopped 30 taking the loss. The Battalion outshot the Attack 45-36 while going 1 for 5 on the power play; Owen Sound finished 3 for 6.
Next up for the Attack is a home game against Barrie Colts (3-4-0-2) Wednesday at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre. Game time is 7 p.m.
