Bruce Road 3 had to be temporarily closed early this morning after an unknown substance was spilled on the roadway.
South Bruce OPP announced that the road was closed and police and fire crews were at the scene on Bruce Road 3, between Concession 2 and Concession 4 in Arran-Elderslie.
Police say that it was an oil-based substance that had spilled, after a drum full of the substance had apparently fallen onto the road.
The road was closed just before 4 am, and police crews are expecting to be at the scene until 1 pm.
