“Women in every season of life are often carrying a heavy mental load – family, work, balancing finances, and ensuring everyone’s physical and emotional needs are met. We want to offer them a safe haven to reset and re-fuel oneself,” said Stacey Schat, Director of Women’s Programs at YWCA Muskoka. “We are incredibly thankful to local donors and organizations who keep our important programs running; in this case, the programs are funded by a grant from the Ontario Government and with support from the Gravenhurst Public Library. Local charities fill extremely important gaps in communities and help ensure no one is left behind.”
