South Bruce OPP say a bridge is damaged following a vehicle collision.
On Sept. 12 around 3:14 p.m., police say officers received a report of a collision involving a box truck on Concession 12 between Bruce Road 19 and Sideroad 5 Brant, between Chesley and Walkerton.
Police say they learned of the collision hours after it occurred and the vehicle involved was no longer on the scene.
The investigating officer discovered extensive damage to a bridge and alerted the Municipality of Brockton.
The bridge is now closed for an unknown amount of time.
As a result, a 48-year-old from Hanover has been charged with failing to remain.
