The City of Orillia has a crossing guard shortage – resulting in two locations with no guard on duty.
The Brant Street and Laclie Street intersection along with
The West Street North and Orchard Park intersection are temporarily unstaffed.
The city says signage will be posted at the affected crossing to advise pedestrians that a crossing guard is not on duty.
The City has posted a notice to hire two crossing guards, with job applications being accepted until Oct. 10th.
