New fountain in downtown Clinton, recognizing Central Huron's volunteers.
Volunteers will be permanently recognized with a new fixture in downtown Clinton.
The Municipality of Central Huron will be unveiling a new fountain Wednesday at the corner of Highways 4 and 8, to honour, “volunteers who give their time, talent, and heart to Central Huron.”
The fountain was inspired by the late Sandra Garnet, a Clinton business owner who served the town and it’s Business Improvement Area for nearly three decades.
When viewed from the side, the metal sculptures in the fountain are loosely based on the letter “V” to symbolize the three elements of volunteerism: selflessness, sacrifice, and service.
The dedication ceremony will run Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
