If you live in Owen Sound and noticed construction signage popping up on your street in the last few days, you’re not alone.
Work is set to get underway tomorrow on 22 road resurfacing projects in the city. An advisory from city hall says underground infrastructure adjustments, removing and replacing asphalt surfaces, ensuring proper drainage and painting new line markings will be completed.
Residents who live in areas where road reconstruction is taking place are being asked to refrain from parking on the street to allow crews to complete their work efficiently.
“This project is expected to take six to eight weeks to complete and will cause temporary disruptions to local traffic,” a release from the city explains.
Owen Sound budgeted $700,000 this year for its annual road rehabilitation program.
