Saugeen Shores Police say a collision in Port Elgin resulted in one vehicle catching fire.
It happened around 9 p.m. Sunday evening. Police, firefighters and paramedics responded to the two-vehicle crash on Goderich Street.
Police say one of the drivers failed a roadside alcohol screening test. The 22-year-old Etobicoke man was transported to the town’s police station for further testing, and subsequently charged with impaired operation and careless driving.
Occupants in the other vehicle involved in the collision were left with minor injuries.
