The Shallow Sting split their two games Tuesday at Softball Canada U23 championship in Kitchener.
The Sting won the first game of the tournament, scoring a convincing 9-2 win over Newfoundland. However, Shallow Lake then suffered a 5-1 defeat in their next outing, against previously winless Quebec.
At 1-3, the Sting play their final two round robin games today — one against Tavistock, the other against Delisle.
