The mental health unit of the Alexandra Marine & General Hospital in Goderich is undergoing renovations.
AMGH officials say the unit is currently in the first of a three-phase plan, which includes expanding and renovating the nurses’ station, and constructing a new medication room.
The second phase will involve a new staff washroom, a patient laundry room, and a kitchenette for patients.
The third phase will complete the patient dining room, replace the solarium window, and refresh the patient lounge and group room, transforming them into brighter, more welcoming spaces.
All renovations are expected to be completed by the end of February 2026.
AMGH officials say mental health services will continue to be full operational during construction.
