Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson announces Housing-Enabling Water Systems Fund for Huron County, 2025
Over $21 million in provincial infrastructure funding has been announced for projects around Huron County.
Huron-Bruce Progressive Conservative MPP Lisa Thompson met with municipal officials Wednesday to announce the funding through the Housing-Enabling Water Systems Fund (HEWSF).
The funding includes:
- Huron East — Seaforth Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion — $12,819,000
- South Huron — London Road South Trunk Sanitary Sewer — $5,367,325
- Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh — Century Heights Drinking Water Expansion — $2,110,156
- Central Huron — King Street Infrastructure Expansion Project — $1,176,195
Provincial estimates suggest the investments could support over 3,300 additional housing units in Huron County.
