West Grey Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Circle K and Shell gas station just north of Hanover.
Police say at about 3 Tuesday morning they responded to an alarm there.
They say a lone suspect had entered the store armed with a large machete and demanded cash from the store clerk.
The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the area on foot. No injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as about five foot ten to six feet with a slim build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a red full-
body spandex suit that covered his face and head and black pants.
The OPP K9 unit and Emergency Response Team members assisted with a search for the suspect but were unsuccessful.
