The Chapman House in Owen Sound is getting a new hospice bed.
The new bed, which is being funded by the province, brings the total number at the Chapman House up to nine.
Chair of the Board of Directors of Grey-Bruce Hospice Chris Cartwright says, “Chapman House was built with the physical footprint for a ninth bed, and I am grateful to the province for seeing our value by funding this service expansion at our facility.”
The province will be working with Grey Bruce Hospice to bring the new bed into service.
This comes as the province is providing an annual $152,300 funding increase for Grey Bruce Hospice.
It is part of a larger $19.75 million Ontario Government investment to create new adult hospice beds across Ontario.
