Collingwood and Blue Mountains OPP say that a traffic stop back in April has resulted in a driver facing a number of charges.
Police made the stop on Mountain Road near 11th Line in Collingwood on April 3rd, when the Automated Licence Plate Recognition system spotted a suspended driver.
They found that the 31-year-old from the Greater Toronto Area was suspended, and upon investigation, charged with driving while under suspension, being a G1 licence holder without a qualified driver, failure to surrender an insurance card, and having cannabis readily available.
On July 24th, the driver failed to appear in court, and a warrant was issued for their arrest. Collingwood OPP took custody of the driver from the Napanee OPP. The driver then appeared in court for a bail hearing on Friday.
