In 2022, the Huron County Library was given $1 thousand to fund a pilot project that offered free period supplies at the various branches, and the program was officially launched in October 2023.
A report found 90 per cent of the feedback received was positive, based on anecdotal and survey responses.
Many comments received expressed gratitude by those who used the products.
