A local developer has donated $100,000 to new Aquatic and Wellness Centre in Saugeen Shores.
Barry’s Construction made the donation.
The Town says in a release, “Since 1977, Barry’s Construction and the Kruisselbrink family have been leaders in the community – building thousands of custom homes and supporting families across the Grey Bruce region.”
Mayor Luke Charbonneau says in a statement, “We’re incredibly grateful for the support of Barry’s Construction,” adding, “For decades, Barry’s Construction has helped, quite literally, build our community and this donation is another example of their dedication to helping families thrive in Saugeen Shores. The new Aquatic and Wellness Centre will benefit residents of all ages, and we’re proud to have Barry’s Construction as part of its legacy.”
If you want to donate to the new facility, there is a commemorative brick campaign that encourages you to buy a personalized brick that will be displayed there. You can do that at www.justaddwaternow.ca.
The Town says the Aquatic and Wellness Centre is designed to be a regional hub for recreation and wellness, offering an 8-lane competition pool, leisure pool, fitness centre, walking track, gymnasium, and multi-purpose program rooms to serve people of all ages and abilities.
