A second residential structure fire in Collingwood has displaced its residents.
Collingwood Fire responded to a home on Dey Drive this morning around 10:20 where there was a fire in the garage.
Crews managed to get the fire under control by 10:36 before it spread further, however there is smoke damage to the home causing the family of 4 to be displaced for the time being.
Collingwood Deputy Fire Chief Stephen Emo tells 977Max News the likely cause is a battery charging station in the garage.
This past Saturday five people were displaced after a house fire on Lynden Street – that also started in the garage but spread to the rest of the house leading to a total loss of the home.
