A popular Owen Sound restaurant has been shuttered, leaving local residents reeling.
The East Side Mario’s franchise on 16th Street East has been closed, and a notice posted on the door from the building’s owner terminating the lease over back-rent.
Pictures of the notice have been shared on social media since it was posted on the door on Thursday.
Bayshore News reached out to East Side Mario’s parent company, Recipe Unlimited, but did not receive a response.
Aside from being a popular eating establishment, the franchise has been a corporate sponsor for many local organizations in Owen Sound.
