Grey Highlands is approving a zoning amendment to increase the number of units a proposed subdivision can build.
Council approved the amendment during a meeting on Wednesday for the proposed Loon Call Redline subdivision, which aims to create 471 units comprised of single detached and townhomes in Markdale.
The zoning amendment for the 32.8 hectare land increases the number of units to 483.
A public planning hearing last month reviewed the proposed subdivision in which the applicant, Loon Call Development Group, aims to increase the number of townhomes in the proposal.
The increase would require the conversion of 18 single detached lots to 30 townhouse lots.
The applicant received draft plan approval for the proposed subdivision from Grey County in 2023.
