A big donation to the Wingham & District Hospital came from former residents of the area.
An $80 thousand grant was announced from the Leland and Thora Vance Fund which is held at the Waterloo Region Community Foundation.
Lee and Thora Vance were long-time Wingham residents and local business owners with a deep-rooted commitment to community.
The donation will go towards purchasing a new Scope Cabinet for the hospital’s Operating Room.
This specialized equipment is vital for the safe storage and sterilization of surgical scopes, ensuring they remain ready for use in life-saving and routine procedures.
