Two people are facing charges after a drug investigation by Saugeen Shores Police.
On June 3rd, police started their investigation while on patrol in Port Elgin and saw a suspicious vehicle with a female driver and male passenger near Mill Street and Arlington Street.
The vehicle, which was known to police, was later found unoccupied. Police waited for the man and woman to return to the vehicle, and found that the man was wanted on outstanding warrants.
Police seized quantities of different drugs, drug paraphernalia, weapons including a brass knuckles, a replica, handgun, and a flip knife, as well as almost $2,500 in cash.
A 40-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman are both charged with possession of different substances for the purpose of trafficking, along with possession of property obtained by crime.
Both were held for a bail hearing and remanded into custody. Police say they will not provide further information.
