The OPP are warning a dangerous man who escaped from prison, could be in the southern part of the Grey Bruce region.
South Bruce OPP issued a news release saying they were notified about a 69-year-old man who escaped from Archambault Incarceration Centre in Quebec on Saturday. The wanted man, Lory Bill Germa, was convicted of murder in 1992.
“South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit is now assisting in this investigation and believe that the wanted individual may be in southwestern Ontario, more specifically in the South Bruce or Hanover areas,” the OPP say in a statement.
Police describe the escaped inmate as a Metis man standing 5-foot-8 and weighing around 165-pounds. He has a scar near his left eyebrow, and several tattoos including dragons, lightning bolts, a “flying skull” and grim reaper.
South Bruce OPP are seeking assistance in locating Germa.
“If observed, do not approach the subject, and immediately contact police at 9-1-1,” South Bruce OPP say in a release.
