With the growing number of cases of melanoma – skin cancer being the most common cancer in Canada – you may want to visit the Mole Mobile.
The Mole Mobile will be visiting Canadian cities with long wait times to see a dermatologist, under served communities, and rural and Indigenous regions to help speed up the time to diagnosis, which is vital to improving outcomes for patients.
Stops in our region are Collingwood Saturday July 5th at Blue Mountain parking lot 4, and Wasaga Beach Sunday July 6th at 311 Main Street near Boston Pizza. Both stops will operate from 10am to 4pm.
During Melanoma Canada’s recent Mole Mobile launch in Ontario, in just twenty stops, of just over 1600 screenings – 167 possible skin cancers were found including 69 melanomas which are potentially deadly.
