Officers from the Orillia Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested two individuals in connection with a drug trafficking investigation and executed search warrants at a residence.
In May 2025, members of the Orillia Detachment CSCU launched an investigation into an individual suspected of trafficking drugs in Simcoe County. On June 26, 2025, officers from the Orillia CSCU and the Community Mobilization Unit arrested two individuals in Simcoe County and executed search warrants at the suspects’ residence.
Police seized the following items:
- 2250grams of Cocaine
- $17,500 Canadian Currency
- 2023 Mercedes C53 AMG
- Drug packaging materials
- Cellular devices
Two people from Etobicoke have both been charged with the following:
- CC 354(1)(a) – Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
- CDSA 5(2) – Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
The first accused was held pending a bail hearing on June 26, 2025 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie and the second accused was released with a future court date.
