The City of Owen Sound is holding a open house next month for residents to learn and provide their thoughts on a variety of topics.
The event on July 17 will touch on the updates to the city’s official plan, zoning bylaw, and new urban design guidelines.
The city says the updates are needed to align local policies with changes to provincial planning.
Mayor Ian Boddy says, “The official plan is council’s land use contract with the community. It’s how we make sure growth happens in a way that’s thoughtful, efficient, and aligned with provincial and regional policies. This open house is a key opportunity for residents to help shape the physical future of Owen Sound.”
More details about the documents can be found on the city’s website here.
The event will be held at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
