The Harrison Park pool is set to open for the season this week.
Owen Sound city officials say the pool will open for the summer season on Friday, and operate daily. Public swims are scheduled until Aug. 31.
There are also free public swims offered on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays throughout the summer.
The free Wednesday and Thursday public swims at Harrison Park pool are from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Sundays are from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The Harrison Park pool is open seven days a week throughout summer.
There’s been swimming offered at Owen Sound’s Harrison Park since 1933, according to a city release. A previous swimming pond was upgraded to a public pool in 1978. And in 2018, the city renovated; One pool was decommissioned to create a larger deck, and the lone remaining pool was made fully accessible.
