You can be a tourist in your own backyard this weekend with Doors Open Owen Sound.
It’s set to take place Saturday, June 21st from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Bayshore Broadcasting is one of the Doors Open locations. There will be radio station tours of AM 560CFOS, Mix 106.5 and Country 93.
You will be able to see the inner workings of the radio stations, and some of them will have live on-air shows going on for you to watch.
There won’t be parking in the station lot due to a block party street closure, but parking is available behind the YMCA offices, (formerly Owen Sound Sun Times).
Other Doors Open locations include: Billy Bishop Home and Museum, British Methodist Episcopal Church, Community Waterfront Heritage Centre, Georgian Bay School of the Arts, Gichi-Name Wiikwedong Reconciliation Garden, Harmony Centre, Morland Place, Mudtown Station Brewery and Restaurant, Owen Sound and North Grey Union Public Library, Owen Sound Artist Co-op, Owen Sound Cenotaph, the Potter’s Field at Greenwood Cemetery, Roselawn Bowling Club, Roxy Theatre, St George’s Anglican Church, Tone Yoga Studio, Tom Thomson Art Gallery and the Sydenham Campus.
