Theresa McLaughlin is West Grey’s Senior of the Year.
She was nominated by the municipality and received the award from Mayor Kevin Eccles during a council meeting on Tuesday.
“She has done a tremendous amount of work and advocacy for seniors and has participated in the community, more specifically the community of Neustadt, but has led seniors in Grey County on different projects. She is heavily involved with the Neustadt Lion’s Club and the Neustadt Horticultural Society, the Neustadt Fall Fair, the Neustadt everything,” says Eccles.
Eccles thanked McLaughlin for all her work in the community as he handed her the award from the Province of Ontario.
“This is a great honour and I really appreciate it,” says McLaughlin.
