The U19 Transcontinental (TC) Owen Sound Northstars played a competitive doubleheader in Oshawa, splitting the results with one loss and one win.
In the first matchup, the Northstars fell just short against the Mimico Mountaineers, losing 11-9 in a hard-fought battle. Despite a strong offensive showing, Owen Sound couldn’t quite close the gap in the final minutes.
The team bounced back in their second game with a gritty 7-6 victory over the Orillia Lady Kings 2. Strong defensive play and timely scoring helped secure the narrow win, capping off a solid performance to end the day on a high note.
Balanced scoring with 9 different players tallying on the day and strong goaltending by Marley Woodhouse were keys to success.
