The U11 Fire Department North Stars girls team took to the field in Oshawa this past weekend. Their first game was against the Oshawa Lady Blue Knights 2. Strong defensive efforts from Emily Gladwell, Jaida Kazarian, Piper Coburn, and Rowan Elmore, along with some impressive saves by Aniya Sutch, helped the team build a solid 15-6 lead.
Their second game was against the St. Catharines Athletics. By the end of the second quarter, the U11 Fire Department North Stars girls held a commanding 12-0 lead, which gave them the opportunity to ease the pace and work on some practice plays. The game ended with a 20-4 victory, which was accompanied by several remarkable saves from Aniya Sutch. Aubrey Walker and Clara Patterson each scored four goals, Dani Adair and Mila Minard had three apiece, and Evelyn Scholl, Jaida Kazarian, Meyer Quaid, Piper Coburn, Rowan Elmore, and Tae Wilson each added one.
